  • Dept. of Parasitology, Medical Faculty and Faculty of Biosciences,
    Ruprecht Karls University, Heidelberg.
  • Heisenberg scholarship from 2014 to 2017.
  • Appointment as apl. Prof. in March 2014.
  • Habilitation in Biochemistry in Aug. 2011.

Junior research group leader (2006 - 2010)

  • Institute of Physiological Chemistry (Prof. Walter Neupert's chair),
    Ludwig-Maximilians University, Munich.
  • Prof. Larry Simpson's lab, University of California, Los Angeles, USA. Short stays in 2007 and 2008 in order to learn how to work with the parasite Leishmania tarentolae (supported by BaCaTec).

Post-doctoral scientist (2005 - 2006)

  • Prof. Alan Cowman's lab, Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research Melbourne, Australia. Stay in order to learn the genetic manipulation of the malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum (supported by a Boehringer Ingelheim travel allowance).
  • Prof. Katja Becker's lab, Justus-Liebig University, Giessen. Co-leader of the SFB535 project A12 "redox metabolism in tropical malaria".
